Extended Learning Opportunities at Penshurst Primary School

Penshurst Primary School offers an array of extra curricular activities to further enhance your child’s school life. Please take a look at what is on offer below and then complete the booklet sent home termly with your child making sure you give a first and second choice. Your child will be notified which club they have been allocated at the start of each new term. We also provide sports every morning for those children who attend Breakfast Club

These are the clubs we have on offer:

  • Film Club -Lights dimmed, popcorn ready - a must for film lovers!
  • Sports - This includes Basketball, Dodge Ball, Badminton, Tennis and ball games. PE kit is needed for this club both indoor and out.
  • Reading Eggs / IPADS / Netbooks - Our school reading program and independent activities
  • Skateboarding - For all abilities - practice your grinds! Skateboards and safety kit provided.
  • Football - Outside kit is required to participate in this club.
  • Wii/Xbox - Master new games and levels!
  • Street Dance – Learn some urban dance routines, these classes are suitable for both girls & boys.
  • Outdoor Adventure - from treasure hunts to making hurricane lamps- everything outside!
  • Cheerleading – chanting and dancing complete with pom poms!
  • Choir - For KS2. A chance to sing in the school choir
  • Art / Construction- For EYFS and Key Stage 1
  • Homework Club - A chance to complete unfinished homework
  • Games and Puzzles - Fun for all ages
  • Top Trumps - Will you be the champion
  • Reading Club - Relax with a good book
  • Bits and Bobs - Like to potter around?

An attendance register will be taken at every club. Poor attendance and unacceptable behaviour will result in your child being unable to attend after school clubs. Children must be collected at 4.00pm.
