This week we have had photographers in school taking pictures of the children in classrooms and outside playing for our school brochures and external marketing. We only took pictures of those children with permission to have their photos taken, and they all had a great time being photo models for the morning.
As I type, the sound of Christmas songs are echoing down the halls as every spare minute between lessons is being used to practice their Christmas productions-it is so lovely to hear the children sing again. I and Year 6 sat together and brainstormed all the songs that we used to sing before the COVID regulations came into effect and singing was banned; we worked out that we sing ninety-six songs of which we can remember six confidently - a fair amount of work to be done here!
Carrying on with the music theme, the choir will be performing at the ‘Hessle Lights Switch On’ in a couple of weeks on Friday 26 November at approximately 5.30pm. They will only have had three practice sessions, but I am confident they will be as entertaining as ever. Please come and support us if you are out and about.
We are still having a problem with children not bringing in PE kit. Please ensure kit is in school on a Monday and goes home on a Friday. PE is a statutory part of the curriculum and it is so important that the children all access this entitlement every week.
Have a lovely weekend.
