WEEK 38 - Friday 15 July 2022

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and offer you a brief insight into the person responsible for seeing the students through the next four years at Hessle High School.

Over the remaining weeks of term I will take the opportunity to introduce myself to the Year 7 students, both within lessons and assemblies. I have had the great pleasure of working at Hessle High School for the past 16 years and have been involved in the Student Services Team for 12 of those years. The importance of the pastoral care can never be underestimated and I am very much looking forward to continuing the hard work of Miss Pinkney and Miss Briggs with the year 7 students. My expectations remain the same as theirs and I am pleased to see such an organised and respectful group of students, working hard to withhold our school ethos.

Work ethic, behaviour and attendance is of the utmost importance and I hope to establish a close working relationship with the parents and carers of my new students. Communication is crucial and I encourage any concerns or queries to be shared with the Year 8 Team.

I am pleased to say that the year group will once again be supported by Mrs Lacey, Assistant Head of Year who is a very experienced member of staff. The Tutoring Team will also see a slight change and the students will again have the opportunity to meet and spend time with their new tutors during the remaining weeks.

I would like to wish you all a happy Summer Holiday and I look forward to meeting all our Year 8s in September.

Mr Julian
