Hessle High School

How to Get Here

The majority of our students travel to school by bus, but you may wish your child to cycle, walk or be taken to school by car.

Home to School transport is provided by East Riding council and their policy states when a child is eligible for transport.

If you live three miles or more from school or if the journey from your home to school is deemed by the Local Authorities to be a hazardous route your child will be issued with a free bus pass. Those children that live outside the catchment area can buy a daily ticket, a weekly ticket which is cheaper than the daily rate or a four week ticket from the bus company directly.  A discounted termly pass can be purchased from the school.

Please note that we take the safety of our students very seriously, however, any complaints about buses, bus behaviour or service providers should be made directly to the Local Authority Home to School Coordinator via East Riding of Yorkshire Council website www.buswise.co.uk or by telephone on 08456 445949.
