WEEK 36 - Friday 1 July 2022

Hello,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your child’s next Head of Year and offer you a brief insight into the person responsible for seeing the students through the next four years at Hessle High School.

Over the remaining weeks of term I will take the opportunity to introduce myself to the Year 7 students in lessons and assemblies. I have had the great pleasure of working at Hessle High School for the past 16 years and have been involved in the Student Services Team for 12 of those years. The importance of pastoral care by the Student Services team can never be underestimated and I am very much looking forward to continuing the hard work of Miss Pinkney and Miss Briggs with the year 7 students. My expectations remain the same and I am pleased to see such an organised and respectful group of students, working hard to uphold our school ethos.

Work ethic, behaviour and attendance is of the utmost importance and I hope to establish a close working relationship with the parents and carers of my new Year Group. Good communication is crucial and I encourage you to share any concerns or queries with the Year 8 Student Services team.

I am pleased to say that the year group will once again be supported by the very experienced and extremely capable Mrs Lacey, as their Assistant Head of Year. The Tutoring team will see a slight change and the students will have the opportunity to meet and spend time with their new tutors during the remaining weeks.

I would like to wish you all an enjoyable Summer break and I look forward to meeting all our Year 8 students in September.

Regards

Mr Julian

Head of Year 11

Mrs Lacey

Assistant Head of Year 11

So I guess this is ‘goodbye’ from us; however, please be assured that all relevant information has been passed on to Mr Julian and Mrs Lacey so they can pick up from where we left off. We wish all of the Year 7 students the very best in their future at Hessle High School and although we are no longer their Head and Assistant Head of Year, we will continue to keep a watchful eye on them as they grow into young adults achieving their full potential.

Regards

Miss Pinkney

Head of Year 7

Mrs Briggs

Assistant Head of Year 7
