How to Apply

How to apply

If you are currently studying at Hessle High School and would like to apply to the Sixth Form, you should see Mr Jarman, Head of Sixth Form. You can apply in the following ways:

New students are welcomed into our Sixth Form College. Places are prioritised for existing students, however students also join us from other local secondary schools.

There are many opportunities to find out about the courses you can study in the Sixth Form. Our Open Evening takes place each year during the Autumn Term. You can also read about courses in The Consortium prospectus The Consortium website, speak to staff in school if you are currently a student, or contact us to arrange a visit if you are looking to join us from elsewhere.

If you would like to visit us before you apply and were not able to come to our Open Evening, please contact us. Once you have applied, we will contact you to invite you to interview.

When to apply

We set a deadline for applications to enable us to use your course choices to create the timetable for the following year. The deadline is the beginning of February. We do accept applications after this date and until late August but course combinations may sometimes be more difficult to accommodate at this stage.

Enrolment

Enrolment for all students takes place after GCSE results are published in August. Students will be notified about enrolment times at the end of the summer term.

Alternatively if you have any questions about joining Sixth Form, please contact us on (01482) 648604.

Once you have decided which courses you would like to study, you are ready to apply.
