We are so proud of our students achievements and often receive thanks and that makes us even more proud of our staff too. We really appreciate students, parents and carers spending their time writing to us with feedback and we have shared some with you below.....
Dear Mr Groak
What a lovely letter that you have sent to the Y11 students, it moved me to tears.
Thank you for sending this. Wishing everyone at Hessle High the very best, stay safe everyone.

My son, has come home from school really buzzing about his day. He says it has been such a fantastic day and loved every minute. He loved showing others his chess set and how to play and making a tower out of paper straws!
I know it's been a different day for them today, but as it's part of children's mental health week I'm over the moon he's ended the week on a lovely day and had a much-needed break from screens. Thank you to all staff that are working hard during this difficult situation and for providing children at school and those at home an opportunity to have such a wonderful day.
Please pass this onto the Head and all staff.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the teachers who have provided online learning to not only my son but every single child. They have gone above and beyond and it is greatly appreciated. The live lessons have been amazing and my son has thoroughly enjoyed being connected. Thank you so much for helping to restore a part of normality back.

I wanted to thank you for the awards that my daughter, was given. They were very unexpected and much appreciated.
It is so nice to see a school who rewards effort and commitment and not merely academic excellence. It is very refreshing to see. In a society that unfortunately judges schools on the grades that students achieve, it is lovely to see a school that places a high value on other factors too.
I never expected my daughter to receive the Best All Rounder award and the words that you said about her were wonderful to hear. Thank you.

This is just to say a big thank you!!
We owe a huge thanks to Mrs Newman who's helpful calls and texts literally helped my daughter and myself out of a dark spot a few weeks ago and helped is turn the corner on home schooling.
Thank you to Mr Groak for your regular email updates and for always finding something uplifting for your weekly blog. After another week of doom & uncertainty, the smallest items of good news and hope really do make a difference.
And to all of the staff who really have worked tirelessly since last year, we have had nothing but praise for the speed and efficiency with which you transitioned to online learning and continue to support our children.
Wishing everyone the very best of relaxing half terms.
Parent of students in Year 8 and Year 11
I wanted to thank you with all my heart the hard work and dedication each and everyone of you have showed over these uncertain times. Everyone has been thrown into situations that none of us would ever have to deal with normally.
My son has been an absolute gem, I have been going to work every day and he has got on and done his school work with no problems at all (well not many any way, he is a teenager after all). This could not have been achieved had it not been for everyone at Hessle High.
We live over in Barton and making the decision to come to Hessle High was a hard decision to make as he was leaving all his friends behind, this has made us realise more than ever that we made the right decision!
The daily updates from the Head have been very welcomed and made us feel involved and thought of, they have really made a difference.
So just to let you know, my son and I think you're all amazing! Thank you for everything you have done and will keep doing in these uncertain times.
